Indications:
Dapsone Gel 5% is indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris
Dosage & Administration:
After the skin is gently washed and patted dry, apply approximately a pea sized amount of Gel 5% to the acne affected areas twice daily. Gently rub it in. If there is no improvement after 12 weeks, treatment with Gel 5% should be reassessed
Contraindications:
None
Adverse Effects:
Dapsone Gel 5% may cause serious side effects, including:
- Shortness of breath

- Tiredness or weakness

- Methemoglobinemia (contact a doctor immediately if lips, nail beds, or the inside of your mouth turn grey or blue)

- Dark brown urine

- Anemia (back pain, fever, yellow or pale skin)

Warning & Precautions:
- If there s no improvement after 12 weeks, treatment should be reassessed

- Common side effects include oiliness, peeling, dryness, and redness of the treated skin

- Methemoglobinemia risk, especially in patients with glucose6phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
